Since graduating in BA Philosophy, Politics and Economics in 2016, Mudassar has been working in the Investment Banking sector. Starting his career as an Investment Analyst at MBU Capital in its early stages as a start-up real estate development and investment management firm based in London.
Mudassar’s first assignment at MBU involved supporting the financial feasibility and fundraising activities in relation to a real estate development project consisting of redeveloping two commercial buildings into a mixed-use residential scheme with 202 apartments and 22,000 sqft retail space.
In addition to financial modelling and preparing investor presentations, he was also assisting with other ad-hoc activities such as recruitment to help grow the project execution team and build the wider business.
Mudassar was also involved in analysing, filtering, and underwriting other real estate investment opportunities. Analysis assignments from the origination team were mainly new development opportunities between £50m to £150m Gross Development Value whilst some were income-producing office and industrial property investments usually between £4m to £18m per asset.
Following the success of the Real Estate business, MBU Capital expanded into other sectors and asset classes including opportunistic venture capital investments into early stage technology start-ups led by Mudassar and a small team.
Outside of MBU Capital, Mudassar is involved with several tech start up ventures.
