Peter is an accomplished finance executive with over 30 years experience in senior finance roles across multiples organisations, sectors and geographies.
Peter began his career in the leisure sector with International Leisure Group, followed by 14 years in financial services with MW Marshall and Barclays, where he was Finance and Operations Director, Barclays Ireland.
He then joined First Data Corporation, progressing rapidly from Finance Director, Ireland to CFO UK and Ireland and then to CFO Western Europe, Middle East and Africa. Peter has spent 9 years in Africa, from 2011 to 2020, primarily in Nigeria but also with financial responsibility for businesses in Kenya, the Gambia and Uganda. In his time in Nigeria, Peter was CFO of Interswitch, Africa largest payments company, where he helped the company achieve unicorn status. He was also CFO of RenMoney, Nigeria’s largest consumer lending business.
In 2019, Peter joined MBU Capital as COO for Africa, playing a key role in the acquisition, turnaround and sale of one of Nigeria’s leading universities. He is currently living and working in London where he is leading a number of projects including MBU'S acquisition and regulatory approval of Union Bank (UK) Plc.
Peter has in-depth experience in M&A, business turnarounds, finance transformation, operational excellence and lean six sigma.
