Russell Simpson is a qualified Certified Accountant (FCCA) who qualified in 1995. He is an experienced accountant who has worked in small, medium and large organisations in both the private and public sectors.
His broad experience includes, 13 years in manufacturing, 8 years in education, 8 years in retail, 4 years working in corporate head offices and 5 years in the public sector.
Russell has experience in many areas of the finance function with the majority of roles since qualification as Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Business Partner. He is experienced in financial reporting from simple organisations to complex blue-chip companies and public sector organisations.
Russell’s role with MBU Capital is that of Finance Manager where he is responsible for Financial Reporting and ensuring the accuracy of the financial information relating to the MBU Capital group of companies.
In his leisure time, Russell is a master swimmer and has competed at a high level in Masters Swimming competitions, both nationally and internationally. He has represented Great Britain at four World Masters Swimming Championships, one European Masters Swimming Championship and one Pan Pacific Masters Games. He has an eclectic interest in music with a vast collection of recorded music in all medias and is a member of four scooter clubs where he rides a customised Vespa scooter.
